We all know how important it is to take care of ourselves, and we aim to do this by focusing mainly on diet and exercise which is great! But - an unsettled mind can counter-balance the effort made looking after our bodies by keeping fit and healthy.
Without looking after our minds, we may never be satisfied with the way we look, how healthy we feel physically, and what we've got. We occupy our time in the continuous game of 'finding happiness' which may always seem to be just out of reach.
In this schizophrenic world we are constantly busy - the demands of work, family & relationships, a social life & leisure time is a pressure cooker of stress, management and expectation.
Meditation is a way of accessing this peace of mind which we would all like to have. I have read books and tried to practice meditation in the last few years, which were all useful but I found myself missing days, wondering if I was 'doing it right', and going off track. Then I found this website through a friends recommendation and it took the mystery out of it all.
Its a great way to practice it, you don't need to sit cross-legged on the floor with joss sticks burning, its a no frills way of achieving a calmer mind, which affects not just you but everyone around you - your behaviour affects others.
